Hello…
I am Holly, a sophomore student planning a career in Pharmacy at the University of Pittsburgh. Ever since I was a young girl, I have always been drawn to the natural sciences and finding out how things work and what drives them. Being a Pittsburgh native, I used to ask questions as a child, like, “Dad, what caused the Steel City’s mills to disappear? Why have they gone?”
Pittsburgh has always been a great city to live and grow up, but recent local and national news headlines reading, “Subprime mortgage crisis leads to recent local foreclosures..” have stirred my city and others across the country. So, it is no surprise that as a young adult (of age to buy a house of my own in the near future), I ask myself questions about Pittsburgh’s local economy, mortgage loans, adjustable rates, and how does someone go about investing in a home when “crisis” and “default” plague the nightly news. All of this has lead me to further investigate the current issues surrounding the subprime mortgage crisis situation in the United States.
As I investigate and blog more about the subprime mortgage topic, I hope that you visit me here and comment on my findings!
